The attached patch fixes all the EmbedXXXStatement methods by adding
checkStatus() to those methods missing that call. Also had to change some test
cases in jdbcapi/StmtCloseFunTest.java that didn't expect an exception from
getQueryTimeout() after the statement was closed.
