I don't think you have run into a problem with svn, but with Derby's
lack of consistent code style. Some people prefer tabs, others prefer
spaces, and since there is no defined coding standard for the Derby
project, the source files have become a wild mix of tab indented code
and space indented code. The only part of the formatting that seems
fairly consistent, is that indentation is four characters and, where
tabs are used, the tab width is four.
