[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1057?page=comments#action_12425805 ] Laura Stewart commented on DERBY-1057: --------------------------------------
Question on information in the file cdevcsecure865818.html, In other topics we refer to "user authorizations". Here we say "access mode" and "access permissions". Should we use just one term instead? Also, I think that we need an sentence that clarifies what each of these properties does. For example, for the defaultConnectionMode, we can add "The derby.database.defaultConnectionMode property specifies the default access permission for the database." LIkewise I think that we need to clarifly what the derby.database.sqlAuthorization property does. Should we mention that this property specifies that Derby is running in the "Derby SQL Standard Authorization mode" or is that phrase meaningless to Derby developers? At the very least we should say that setting this property activates the ability for object owners to grant and revoke user authorizations to their objects. > documentation to address Grant/Revoke (Derby-464) > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DERBY-1057 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1057 > Project: Derby > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: Documentation > Affects Versions: 10.0.2.0 > Reporter: Eric Radzinski > Assigned To: Laura Stewart > Fix For: 10.2.0.0 > > Attachments: derby1057_devguide.diff, derby1057_devguide_html.zip, > derby1057_ref.diff, derby1057_ref_html.zip, devguide_html2.zip, ref_html2.zip > > -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
