Thank you, Fernanda! Although your patch only works around the problem, I think
the fix is OK. The general problem is logged as DERBY-1020, and until it has
been fixed, I think it is good to have a workaround which makes this test run
cleanly. I added a comment about why the sleep was needed and committed
revision 442490.
Leaving the issue open until it has been merged to 10.2.
