[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-2129?page=comments#action_12455711 ] Stan Bradbury commented on DERBY-2129: --------------------------------------
Hi Rick - In response to your question in the comment of 11/30. The first sentence of the Release notes states that a list of differences is provided - this is how the document opens: "These notes describe the difference between Derby release 10.2.2.0 and the preceding release" My opinion is that, for consistency sake, we should have a standard Release Notes format (at least all Major sections should be the same for each Release Note produced) so adding back the 'changes/differences' section but annotating there (as you suggested) that "this is a maintence release no new features were added since 10.2.1.6" would be a good option. If not that then reword the first sentence so incorrect expectations are not set. > Tasks related to releasing 10.2.2 > --------------------------------- > > Key: DERBY-2129 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-2129 > Project: Derby > Issue Type: Task > Reporter: Rick Hillegas > Assigned To: Rick Hillegas > Fix For: 10.2.2.0 > > Attachments: derby-2129-CHANGES-STATUS-v01.diff, > derby-2129-indexLinks-v01.diff, derby-2129-releaseNotes-v01.diff, > derby-2129-releaseNotes-v02.diff, derby-2129-releaseNotes-v02.diff, > RELEASE-NOTES.html, RELEASE-NOTES.html > > > JIRA to track changes related to producing release 10.2.2. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
