Andrew McIntyre commented on DERBY-1672:
----------------------------------------

Harmony is now a top-level project, and it has 100% coverage of the java.sql
and javax.sql packages in its class library:

http://www.kaffe.org/~stuart/japi/htmlout/h-jdk14-harmony.html

A spec jar for JSR-169 based on the Harmony class library for JSR-169 if there
is still interest in this issue.

> Create ALv2 licenced JSR 169 jar by taking Apache Harmony's java.sql and
> javax.sql classes and subsetting to match JSR 169
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: DERBY-1672
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1672
> Project: Derby
> Issue Type: Task
> Components: Build tools
> Reporter: Daniel John Debrunner
>
> Jar would be used for Derby's compilation only, no representation that the
> classes were a conformant implementation of JSR 169.
> Need to check legal status of Harmony contribution since it is in the
> incubator
> Need to check any issues around JSR 169 implementations.
> Would ease getting started on derby nd ensure these classes are easy to build.
