Stan Bradbury commented on DERBY-2194:
--------------------------------------
I did a quick read through of the changes and found one minor problem and two
other things that are minor - one is possibly an issue with this particular
build of the HTML files and the other is a related enhancement.
BTW the document looks good.
1) Minor problem: the example output in twwdactivity4.html - Step 3d.
SUGGESTION: change the time values for entries 'sunny day' and 'new car' to
16:08..... so they will be later than the initial entries.
>> Changing the output to use '<varname>date</varname>' will give all lines of
>> the example the same date so the latter entries, if not changed, will have
>> a timestamp earler than the initial entries. Originally the timestamps of
>> the later entiries ( 'sunny day' and 'new car') were the day after the
>> initial entries. Original text:
On 2006-09-21 15:11:50.412 I wished for a peppermint stick
On 2006-09-21 15:12:47.024 I wished for an all expenses paid vacation
On 2006-09-22 10:08:21.167 I wished for a sunny day
On 2006-09-22 10:08:33.665 I wished for a new car
2) Possibly an issue with this particular build of the HTML files:
The variables: version, tag, date - are not replaced by actual values in the
example HTML output provided.
3) Related enhancement:
Use '<varname>version</varname>' in the IJ output examples, if possible.
This will keep versions listed consistent consistent with those in the
derby.log entries.
Currently the output is coded as:
<systemoutput>ij version 10.2</systemoutput>

> After rerunning the tasks in Working With Derby, I found a few more issues.
> 1) There's a step-ordering problem: The Introduction tells users to verify
> that DERBY_HOME is set, but instructions for setting it don't appear till
> Activity 1. The instructions for setting DERBY_HOME should be moved to the
> Introduction.
> 2) In step 2 of Activity 1, add a statement that ij commands can be in either
> uppercase or lowercase, to prevent confusion when both forms are used.
> 3) Fix horizontal and vertical spacing in command and code examples.
> 4) Correct the derby.log output and description.
