I have never had any problems with the login to Jira. I have been using
Firefox 1.5, now I'm using Firefox 2.0 and the connection is made
through a proxy. My login info also survived the upgrade.
Seems people have different experiences for some reason (environment?).

JIRA was recently upgraded. It seems to be working fine for me, using
Mozilla 1.7.13, seemed to be working earlier w/ Safari as well.
If you continue to have problems, I'd suggest reporting it to the
infrastructure list.
