Are you sure that you're not working with mixed versions of the source? The
return type of FormatableBitSet.shrink() was changed as part of revision 502185
to be void. But, from the exception in the description of this issue, some
other method was expecting the return type to be FormatableBitSet, which was
the return type before that change.
