This was just an awesome writeup, Mike, thanks a million! I know that this sort of analysis comes up fairly frequently, when advanced users are trying to analyze their application behavior, and understanding the effects of things like isolation level, index usage, etc. are quite tricky. It would be great to capture this information into our product docs somehow. I thought about trying to just yank Mike's message into the wiki, but it doesn't really work so well as a standalone doc. Does anybody have any ideas about how we could capture some of this info about topics like scan locks, key ranges, bulk index fetches, etc. into our existing lock documentation? thanks, bryan
