When I converted the test, I had major trouble using the decorators because they'd attempt to 'do' stuff under the covers while the System property was set, which resulted in 'DRDA_Invalid_value's when the network server was getting started or shutdown, or the connections couldn't be made because the connections done in existing teardown and setup were not done with the security mechanism specified, and thus, the connections couldn't succeed. I expected this test is a one-off that way, most functionality doesn't require all this bouncing around of the server, or doesn't make it impossible for bland connections to succeed, so I didn't see a point in creating more decorators. Of course, I was so happy I got it working I've thrown all records of my earlier attempts away. I'll revisit it. Myrna
