This is just from the writer's perspective, *not* the technical one -- just a
few suggestions.
I would suggest changing

(since there is only one alternate form; also, "Using" is a dangling participle
that is confusing in this context)
In the third new paragraph, we don't usually put SQL clauses in bold, just in
caps.
Also, the example should be consistent with the other syntax example in the
margins and the use of bold. Dag's right about the semicolons too, of course.
In the third set of comments in the example, there's a typo ("exising").
Laura may have some ideas too, since she is more familiar with the SQL
documentation.
