I reread that thread and also revisited the discussion in DERBY-2865 regarding
the correctness of LENGTH returning 2 characters for 'aa'. I have to say I am
thoroughly confused by the duality that 'aa' is sometimes one character and
other times two for Norwegian territory based collation.
