You're right, calling junit.framework.Assert.fail() should also work. The only
difference is that it will stop the test, whereas with System.out.println() the
test continues after the failure. But since the test is not yet a JUnit test,
I'm not sure we should add to many of the JUnit constructs. I think
assertSQLState() makes sense since it helps us work around a problem with canon
based tests. I don't think using fail() gives us anything more than println()
in this test, though.
