How can I mark a patch as deprecated in jira?

I've once or twice seen patches marked as deprecated in jira, resulting 
in them being greyed out, but still listed.

Anyone know how do I do that?
My "Manage attachments" currently only give me an option to download or 
delete. Would be good to be able to grey out the deprecated onces if 
there are quite a few patches attached.
