Well I put some printlns in for calls to BaseActivation.setCurrentRow,
clearCurrentRow and getColumnFromRow and looked at the difference between the
query with and without the (1 = 1) predicate.
The results are posted here as
QueryWithTruePred.out
and
QueryWithoutTruePred.out
I noticed two notable differences.
1)
setCurrentRow is called twice for each row with the true predicate ( the
failing case). I don't know if this is normal.
2)
When compiling the final result, the failing case calls getColumnFromRow(5,1)
for result set 5 when result set 5 has not been set, thus causing the NPE. It
seems it should be
getColumnFromRow(1,1) as it is for the passing case.
I did a little debugging of ExpressionClassBuilder.pushColumnReference() and
found that the ResultColumn that is being referenced in result set 5 is DEPTNO,
but I haven't gotten much further than that.
I am not actually sure what all the result set numbers are referring to.
Any suggestions are welcome.
