I found a problem in LOBStreamControl.replaceBytes() that could prevent files
from being closed (DERBY-3883). I didn't see that happening in my environment
when I added some println statements and ran LobStreamsTest, so it's probably
unrelated, but there is a patch that you could try just in case.
