I second Bryan's comment.
At the same time I would like to reiterate that tests should be written to be
independent of whether Derby has been built in sane or insane mode if possible.
As a related issue, writing package private tests should also be avoided if
feasible. I believe these tests are being run by less people than the other
tests.
