Thanks for the great spec, Dag. Other than some very minor typos, I have only 
one comment, related to Knut's observation above under (2):

It would be good to know, either way, whether this work will affect DERBY-4. If 
this does enable INSERT ... SELECT ... ORDER BY, then it would be good to 
mention this somewhere in the user guides.
