You're absolutely correct! Tool need at least one option (-html or -xsl) in
minimum. So brackets should be removed.

Actually path can be absolute or relative (Relative in the sense of the same
directory but not sub directories). The tool appends ".xml" or ".html" suffix
only if it is not present.
