Hi Kim, It's not you. I've been able to reproduce the problem by building the docs under the C locale and have filed a bug report. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-4999 Our build instructions at http://db.apache.org/derby/manuals/dita.html say that we should use a UTF-8 locale when building the docs, but I think that was because non-ascii characters got garbled when building under the C locale, not because the build failed. -- Knut Anders
