Thanks for the quick review, Knut. I am attaching 
derby-4437-07-ad-biggerDefault_propertyCanBeInteger.diff, a new version which 
addresses your comments:

1) I added some newlines to SequenceUpdater.isNumber() to improve readability.

2) I reverted the confusing changes to SequenceGeneratorTest.vetBump(). They 
were cruft left over from an experiment to figure out why the revised test took 
so long to run.
