Hi Kim,
With the introduction of NATIVE authentication, we are urging applications to
migrate away from the unsafe BUILTIN mechanism. Since password substitution can
only be used with an authentication scheme which we think is unsafe, we are
sending mixed signals by continuing to document password substitution. I think
that we should remove all references to password substitution. Thanks.
