Attaching a patch that makes the following changes to the test:
- Call super.tearDown() from the override
- Use framework helper methods to simplify setUp() and tearDown()
- Eliminate the shared DataSource instance (use openDefaultConnection() instead)
- Remove unused imports
- Fix some typos in javadoc comments
