Attaching a simple patch which inserts a call to waitForConnect between the 
failOver and the connectPing.

This should make sure the slave has enough time to fail over before the call to 
connectPing is made, if that is indeed the issue here. I see this pattern has 
been used elsewhere, e.g. in 
ReplicationRun_Local_showStateChange#testReplication_Local_showStateChange_showReplState.

The test ReplicationRun_Local_3_p6 runs OK with the patch.
