Rick Hillegas commented on DERBY-6016:
--------------------------------------

I have passed this issue on to the translators in my company. They think this
is not a problem. This was their response:

"These 2 references, "Developer's Guide" and "Working with user
authentication", have been paraphrased in translation."

Some other translating service will have to handle this problem.

> In Spanish translation file
> java/drda/org/apache/derby/loc/drda/messages_es.properties, string 'Working
> with User Authentication" and "Deverloper's Guide" in message
> DRDA_NoAuthentication.S should not get translated
> -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: DERBY-6016
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6016
> Project: Derby
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Localization
> Affects Versions: 10.10.0.0
> Reporter: Myrna van Lunteren
> Priority: Trivial
>
> The message DRDA_NoAuthentication.S in
> java/drda/org/apache/derby/loc/drda/messages_en.properties mentions a section
> in the "Developer's Guide" entitled "Working with user authentication".
> We do not have translations of the Developer's Guide, so these two strings
> should *not* get translated.
> Of the new messages, the files where this was translated are:
> - messages_es.properties
> - messages_ja_JP.properties
> The older cs, hu, pl, ru and pt_BR translations don't have this message.
> Marking this trivial, because most likely the people looking for the
> Developer's Guide will be able to translate from their native tongue to
> English close enough to find the section.
