how to turn off warnings?

I would like to turn off unnecessary exceptions (database's warnings) thrown
when updating doesn't update anything, that means for example:
 
query:
 UPDATE TimeStats SET Hour12 = Hour12 + 1 WHERE Today = CURRENT_DATE
 
table TimeStats is empty and there is an exception thrown:
 
java.sql.SQLException: Message: No row was found for FETCH, UPDATE or DELETE; or
the result of a query is an empty table.
SQLState: 02000 
 
How to turn off such exceptions?
