Hi
I want to use derby thru an ODBC link, but all I have for now is the DB2
client with its horrible installation procedure.
Do you know if there is an alternative ? Or if not if its possible to
automate the installation of db2 and the settings to correctly use the
base by my application ?
Easysoft ( http://www.easysoft.com/ ) has an ODBC driver that works with
the Cloudsoft 5 product. Their web site doesn't mention Derby, but I
can't help but wonder if it might work with Derby 10.
Has anyone tried this and maybe know for sure? If it does work, it'd be
nice to list on the Derby site and/or Wiki.

What's Cloudsoft? Sounds like a toilet paper?
Wow -- my brain went completely on the fritz. I meant Cloudscape. I even
did a quick search for "Cloudscape" on their site before posting to make
sure they still list it, then typed Cloudsoft. :-)
Thanks for the catch and sorry for the confusion,
