The issue is marked as closed with resolution "Cannot Reproduce" (early
July 2006).
Is this the issue you meant to refer to?
If so, which version of Derby are you using when you see the error?
If it has been fixed, maybe we can easily backport the fix.
The correct action might also be to upgrade your version of Derby, if
possible.
