That's really cool Jef!  I had been looking into some of Inkscapes features
that generate patterns based on mathematical expressions.  The function plotter
and L-system (Lindenmeyer systems) both seem promising, but I don't know if
they could be successfully used in an aesthetically pleasing manner, though
they would certainly be in keeping thematically with our design goal.  Helpful
information about the latter can be found here:

Thanks for sharing!  My wife loved them.

Hi everyone,

I was reading Aza Raskin's tweets today (@azaaza) and came across a very
interesting website:

 http://forresto.com/

Click "next" or "previous" to see more cool stuff. They seem to have a lot in
common with the design concept for F14. Especially #2, #3 and #4 look like they
would make great wallpapers, and definitely fits our goals of "emergence" and
such.

It uses Raskin's "Algorithm Ink"
(http://azarask.in/projects/algorithm-ink/#e03e6859), which is open source. You
can fill in the code from the Forrest O website and edit it.

Maybe this can help us create some more cool wallpapers. Only problem I found
so far is that you can't save it as a vector image (as far as I can see).

Have fun with it! Hope it provides some inspiration. :)

Jef
