I thought that was the reason for setting up something like Ideatorrent? At least, it is already listed on the Drupal development pages ... for any further implementation, we (in terms of Design team, in this case: the UX design) should make sure to be heard by the development. Good point by the way, I will ask on the dev list how many developers are "lurking" on this list, too. It would be great if some people could help to point out some noteworthy discussions here and there. > We really should be ensuring that new ideas are thoroughly discussed > with the community to ensure we are all moving in the same direction. > There is nothing wrong with this idea already being submitted, but > changing things without a long term plan could add to our workload > later. Yes. The long term plan is "planned", as far as I know (at least to some extend, since we cannot put pressure on anybody to work on certain issues). But, Andrew, concerning your proposal: I'd like to discuss your idea again ... in a few weeks, once LibO 3.3 is released (and thus, some people have a bit more time). I prepared a mail some days ago to ask the development to work with us to harmonize much of the branding stuff and to bring some "fresh" air into LibO. This is based on what I've seen in the past, e.g.: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/5/53/Ivan_StartCenter_Proposal_wireframe.png Ivan, do you remember? :-) Cheers, Christoph -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] List archive: http://www.libreoffice.org/lists/design/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***
