:-) You are busy for a good reason!

I've added [1] - I think you referred to this one ...

I did numerous attempts for the Calc icon and I also tried to
incorporate the bars within the sheet. Unfortunately - if we go with the
"TDF symbol is the basis for the icons idea" - space is really limited.
Although I've tried, I did not succeed ... but that doesn't mean that it
it impossible :-)

One of the things I don't like is that you finally end up with different
"grids" - one for the Calc sheet, and one for the bars (they form some
kind of basic grid). For example, the thick grid (due to the strong TDF
symbol) was hard to combine with the rather light grid for the chart
(being decoration). And looking a bit closer at the ODF icons, to me the
transition between sheet and chart seems a bit "random" ...

Another idea to go with the "chart is separate" idea is, that we can
re-use the same symbolism for the chart file type. But here we already
face trouble due to the change of Galaxy (bar chart) and Tango icons
(pie chart) ... grrrr. See also:

Thanks! I'll promise to think a bit further about that ...

Cheers,
Christoph
