Hi Drew, hi all! Oops, then I'm somehow sorry - because I don't want to overrule anybody :-\ It is just another proposal based on what I perceived during the last years; and the great work of all others here (it is unbelievable how easy it is to re-use the stuff made up by Nik and Paulo *g*). Concerning the presentation template, I think less things can go wrong if we hand out a simple template to (let's say) anybody. The more "polished templates" (some parts look simply awesome) would be simply great for our own use - e.g. the design or marketing team. But, that's solely my opinion :-) > > I had a look at the conference templates suggested so far - and although > > some parts are simply beautiful, I got stuck a bit. If yes, then "hehe", because the new one is indeed based on that. Since we now have the community logo, the motif and the awesome conference logo some changes were required. > , so went for the more Baroque No-1_Green. I think that's valid for some more people - like myself :-) > > Feedback (especially technical stuff) highly appreciated :-) > > I like it - are you going to bring in some of the secondary colors, as > you did in the earlier template then? I thought a little bit about that - since we've chosen the motif, I'm a bit hesitant and I think that the basic "green-ish/white-ish" appearance is better. On the other hand, I really like your idea that we need some colors to highlight stuff ... so how about adding those pre-colored boxes and graphic objects that people can easily copy-and-paste? Otherwise, I fear that we get block most diagrams in the default "Blue 9" or "Blue 8" ;-))) [...] > //drew Drew, thanks a lot for the feedback and the encouraging words ... I'm sure that we'll, together, deliver something very good for our first conference. (Which needs to be awesome *g*).
