The removal of the Tango icon theme from the core installation of recent
LibreOffice versions (including 24.x/26.x) has created severe, insurmountable

defined, and color-distinct iconography.
Tango was never meant to be the accessibility icon theme, it was rather an
approach to blend into Gnome based distributions. And it got removed after
discussion in https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132022.

through the internal Extension Manager, bypassing broken web links.
You can install the last state of the icon theme via Tools > Options >
Appearance per "tight integration". Click the icon next to the icon themes
dropdown and pick the "Tango Icon Theme". Missing icons will be replaced by the
theme that is the default on your OS/DE or eventually Colibre.
The necessity for classic icon themes like Tango is empirically validated by the
lived experience of the author...
"Empirical" and "one user" don't go well together :-). We previously shipped the
hicontrast icon theme which has been superseded by the Sifr theme, see https://
bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75398 for this. Have you tried it?
(I agree with the esthetical arguments but you surely know better what works
well for accessibility.)
1. **Streamlined Toolbar Customization:** ... We propose a permanent, highly
visible shortcut (such as a large right-click context menu)...
If you click on the empty area of a classic toolbar a context menu allows to
switch buttons on/off (that are customized into the toolbar but not visible).
2. **Custom Graphics Parameter:** Introduce a parameter allowing users to
easily load and apply their own custom icons/graphics directly to specific
toolbar...> 3. **Deduplication of Clipboard Actions:** Implement an automated
layout...
I think the workflow described above is sufficient. You don't change the
appearance so often that it deserves a button in the primary UI.
* **Disable Background Auto-Save by default (currently every 10 seconds):**
Many users request the opposite, see
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77999
* **Smart Default File Naming:** The software should automatically suggest...

Thanks for taking the time to write up all your pain points!
