What we currently do is remove (or exclude, for calculated collections like All) the item from the current collection, but if the current collection is the last collection the item isin, it's moved to the trash as well, thus avoiding orphans. Anyway, back to the topic of the delete key, I'd be happy with Del for remove, and cmd-D for move to trash. Seems like there were various voices in support of this, are there any objections?
