Hi Viksit,
Welcome to the Chandler lists!
With reference to 06_Break_Apart_Workflows.gif on the
JottingNewItemsWorkflow wiki - How exactly are you going to distinguish
the context of the different modules of information?
That is the important question. As Ted has mentioned in the past, the
Newton was able to determine a lot from context, it would be great if
Chandler could do as well or better.
In the case Darshana's looking at, we're talking about one line quick
entry, so data definitely wouldn't be split across multiple lines.
My understanding is that in the new-items-within-an-item workflow you're
referring to, the end of a sub-item would be found at the next newline,
so I don't think we'd be parsing multiple lines there, either.
I don't think it's mentioned on either of those wiki pages, but we call
those items-with-inline-subitems "clusters". Hopefully the code
Darshana develops to parse quick entry lines will work equally well when
we implement clusters.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey
