Hi Rick,
Welcome to the lists, you'd be a good citizen to search the lists (and
bugzilla) before asking such questions, but in this case, you found a
genuine bug and asked a question I don't think we've answered before.
Is there anyway to search the list archives? I'm guessing the rest of my
questions have been asked and possibly answered. But haven't found a
way to search archives.
There's always the old site:http://lists.osafoundation.org <your_text>
query to Google. The lists are definitely spidered, but I don't think
we've got anything set up to make the search painless.
Is there a monthly view available for the calendar?
Not yet. I'm not sure when we'll get to this, but to be honest, it
isn't high on our priority list right now.
Why would a calendar show or not show events? Show events on the wrong
days? I use the US32Holidays.ics calendar from icalshare.com and in
Chandler the holidays all over the board. Labor Day shows up the same
day as Christmas. Halloween and Thanksgiving not at all. Same calendar
in iCal works just fine.
That would be a bug :)
I filed bug 6621,
<http://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6621>. It should be
fixed as of r11620, but I also noticed bug 6620 involving Sunday
holidays that I'll fix some time soon.
Will save questions about email, etc until I hear back about the
searching of archives.
OK. E-mail really isn't ready for heavy use yet, so expect to find lots
of bugs. But we really appreciate the bug finding help so don't
interpret that caveat as resistance to hearing about bugs you find!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey
