Darshana asked me to check out her latest patch to: https:// bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6470

The command line for dummies field is not yet integrated into the toolbar. Instead, you will find it in the detail view under the Title field, above the Location field (if the item is an event).

Please play around with this and reply with comments and feedback.

To get started, type '/' into the field and you will see the list of available commands.

A few initial comments...

1. '/Task laryngitis eod' didn't set a tickler for End of Today (Today at 5PM) 2. When creating a message, even entering a valid email didn't add the email to the 'To: field' of the item 3. '/Task Hire cab next Tuesday' didn't set a tickler for Next Tuesday. This didn't work for '/Event Hire cab next Tuesday' either.

4. If the user doesn't type a command and just creates a new item, we should have smart defaults for what kind of item we create, rather than throwing up '?':

Note in All
Message in Mail
Task in Tasks
Event in Calendar

5. Where did Chandler put my newly created item? New items are always put into the Dashboard collection; UNLESS you are creating a new item that matches the Kind of the App area you are currently in. In that case, we should put the new item in the currently selected Collection. (If the Collection is a Mine collection, then the item will also end up in the Dashboard).

The reasoning behind this is that if you're in the Calendar and you're trying to create events, chances are, you are trying to create items in the context that you're in. However, if you're in the Calendar and you create notes, then you're trying to create items in spite of the context you're currently in.

Not sure how this will work out. Waiting for dogfood feedback on this.

6. Jeffrey has suggested that we delete the command once
