Notes from a recent meeting about edit/update workflows and item sharing

The workflows contribute to the sharing experience (knowing who last
edited shared items, notifications about edits) as well as adding the
ability to collaborate on an item using email. (We've referred to these
features as stamping/email, as both stamping features and email features
are used to support the workflows).
Mimi used the scenario of Mitch and Esther (with shared calendars, email
and iCal interop) to describe workflows:
- Creating and sending items in Chandler
- Receiving in Apple Mail
- Receiving items in Chandler
- Getting tasks and event items into iCal and Chandler via .ics
attachments received in Email clients
- Subsequent edits and updates to sent/received items in Chandler
We used the workflows to surface questions about the ui and implementation.
We also discussed options for phasing the work, perhaps reducing the
feature set for Preview. If we do make cuts, we'd like to do so in a
coherent way. At the end of the meeting we agreed to think about the
options, and discuss further proposals on this list before meeting again.
