Here are the notes from yesterday's Preview meeting.

We spent most of the meeting discussing concerns/risks with the
Preview release. Some major themes that surfaced are....
+ There is some anxiety around the uncertain release date. Some are
not comfortable with a release date that is constantly slipping or
not being able to rally and plan/pace around a fixed solid date. They
would like to pick a fixed date and cut in order to make it.
+ Much of the discussion centered around how to home in on a
predictable date.
+ There was concern we were adding in features. Most of this due to
the fact that some tasks weren't well defined and we are simply
listing them out in more granularity.
+ Continued concerns on the general QA situation.
+ On the side some feel we have a real finish line/goal defined in
terms of features, usability. Predicting a date is hard but the
finish line is clear.
+ There is tension between wanting to cut features and the reality
that we can't cut anything - all the stuff left is critical path for
Preview.
+ Performance is the biggest uncertainty. How do we know how long it
will take? The fact is that we need to meet a certain performance bar
and quantifying that work in a predictable way if challenging.
+ There are differing opinions on what we are trying to achieve. What
do we really mean by getting users? Does this mean converting people
to day-to-day usage or just getting them to try out the application
for a week and give us feedback? What is good enough.
+ There are also differing opinions on what expectations we are
trying to meet. Some feel the expectations are too high. We haven't
defined the bar very well.
We will be continuing this discussion during next Monday's meeting
and in list discussions prior to that.

The Cosmo dates are wrong and I didn't both updating due to the
issues today. I will wait until we launch and update accordingly.
