a few comments on the cosmo calendar ui:

* i have a few half-hour-duration events. there's not enough space in
the event block (what's the correct term for this?) to show the start
time, time zone and summary. i know that the ui doesn't implement all
of the envisioned timezone features, so i might be complaining about
something that's already scheduled to be fixed, but - i don't want to
see a tz for every event on my canvas. for those that aren't in my
overall calendar timezone, fine, but only if there's room. the two
most important pieces of information are the start time and summary.

* i'm not a fan of the square, no, Boxy look of the event blocks. i
really like the wider, rounded google calendar event blocks. i also
like how they put the time in a little visually distinct bar at the
top of the block in a smaller font, and the summary in larger type in
the lower part of the block. much easier to read, imo.

* having the detail view always be in "edit mode" always slightly
confuses me. when i look over at the start and end dates, i tend to
read them as being in AM even if the PM radio button is selected,
simply because the text is so much more prominent than the radio
buttons, let alone the buttons' selection state. once again, i really
like how google calendar shows its event details as basic text that,
when clicked, becomes editable.

* continuing the last point, if the description was rendered as text,
then we could hyperlink urls in the description field. i'd say 30-40%
of my events have urls in the description field.

* like most everyone else, i'd much rather have date and time picker
widgets than text fields.

* please, i beg, for recurrence, let me specify days to repeat on.
this would let me create the event from my last message that recurs
every mon, tue, thu fri for six weeks.
