Since I'm a relatively sparse calendar user, I find it quite helpful to
be able to browse through my LATER section and see the few things I've
scheduled a month or two out (I have 10-20 Later items).

I don't really look through DONE, if my Chandler use is like my
email use I'll look through old items for a week or two, if that doesn't
find the item I'll use search.

I can imagine someone who puts several dozen birthdays on their calendar
and another dozen weekly/monthly events having a somewhat unwieldy LATER
section, but I don't think the size of a full-fledged LATER is likely to
overwhelm the browser's ability to sort it.

If you're going to have to go look through all your recurring events for
within-a-month (or whatever arbitrary period) events anyway, it seems
worth showing all LATER items. But I totally buy compressing the DONE
section.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey
