Hello, everybody,

I am Vera, a Google Summer of Code student, mentored by Jeffrey Harris. The
project I am working on is progress reporting feature for Chandler.

The vision of the Progress Reports project is to provide Chandler's users
with an option to overview their tasks in a compressed manner, to track
their progress, and to be able to report on it with minimal effort.

As the first step towards this functionality, that we hope might be already
useful. It is important to define, what is the most reasonable and realistic
set of functionalities to start with. We propose the following, and hope to
hear advice and thoughts from people in the design list:


  - In the intial stage Report will comprise summary of information for
  the last week
  - An item of kind Report will be created on Event of */report* input
  in the Quick Entry field.
  - Report item's body will include textual information of the following
  to track the happenings of last week:
  - The items for the report will be taken from the *currently selected
  collection* by default.
     - #items that were created during last week.
     - Items by their triage status:
        - NOW:
           - #items that were created (received) last week and
           have the status NOW
           - #items that were triaged as NOW during the last
           week and are still in the status of NOW
           - total #items that are triaged as NOW currently
           - the titles of the relevant items
           - #items that became UNREAD during the last week and
           are still UNREAD
        - LATER:
           - #items that were created last week with the status
           of LATER
           - #items that were tickled as LATER during the last
           week (shows transition of focus)
           - the titles of the relevant items
        - DONE:
           - #items that were marked as DONE during the last
           week
           - the titles of the relevant items
