Seems like we're mostly on the same page about sorting in the LATER section, but still not settle on the issue of sorting in the NOW section.

The 2 options we've discussed thus far for improving sorting in the NOW section are:

1. Explicit ordering in the NOW section? versus
2. Auto-sorting items in the NOW section by the Date column (a la LATER section) while keeping 'new, unread' items at the top.

It seems to me that if you had a small NOW section, you would prefer 1.
If you had a large NOW section, you'd prefer 2.

Bryan, do you have any questions/insights re: implementation?

OR We *could* auto-sort the NOW section in the same way we're proposing to sort the LATER section with the caveat that 'newly arrived items' stay at the top until the user has read them and clicked the Triage button in the toolbar. Does that make sense? My concern is that if we move to an auto-sort paradigm in the NOW section, new items that arrive in the NOW section will never catch your attention because they get 'auto-sorted' down the list of NOW items.
