Mimi,
I also often work in the note mode. In fact I currently have a use
case that I could provide as an example. I am looking for Day-Cares/
Pre-schools for my kids. I make notes of all the good ones I am
interested in. Then as I schedule the interviews, I stamp some of
those as events and put them on the calendar.
Not having a note view does make it difficult to scan thru the notes
to check which ones are left to be scheduled. Lately I have been
resorting to stamping those as tasks just for easier access.

Hi Mimi, Hi Reid,
Same as Reid, I will create a Chandler Note item as a bucket for
notations until the item turns into a Task, if ever.
Also, I use Note items for reference material, similar to keeping
memos
on a Palm. On the Palm, I use "REF - " as a prefix to tag the memo.
When
I began having trouble finding Note items in Chandler, I began to use
the same prefix tag in Chandler. I like have items that are distinctly
not tasks, events, or mails. It would be great to be able to sift them
out more easily.
Thanks, Andre

It's the latter. I was finding it useful to jot down notes in
Chandler
until I found I was losing them.

Hi Andre and Reid,
When do you find yourselves wanting to see only Notes? Is it when
you're searching for a particular note? Or do you have a 'Note-mode'
you work in?

You are correct, to my understanding. I must say this did not
become an
issue for me until lately now that I've accumulated a couple dozen
notes. I find that in the table view I am unable to distinguish
between
Notes and Events. There is not Event or Note type icon in the table
view. Tasks are clearly visible. The date column doesn't help
particularly since the creation date or an alarm can appear
there for
Notes as well as Events. I recall 0.6AlphaSomethingOrOther
having three
separate columns that clearly indicated how an item was stamped.
The
downside being the amount of screen real estate required using that
method. Nonetheless, I now miss that.
