Hi Anderson,
I'm the best stand-in we have for product manager right now.
Currently Contacts is not supported in the app. We have had 2 summer
interns work on Contacts, but have not yet settled on an
implementation strategy for how to model Contacts.
I think it would be best for someone from the development side to
provide a technical summary for Contacts. Grant? Jeffrey?
As you may have seen from the links I sent you, on the design side,
we've discussed a wide range of possibilities.
At this point in the project, we are most interested in:
1. Having enough Contacts support to provide a way for 3rd party
developers to plug into it when developing parcels.
2. Supporting 'basic' Contacts management needs in Chandler, where
'basic' might include things like:
+ Import/Export of contacts
+ Access and display a list of contacts
+ Display contact details
+ Ability to categorize contacts by collection
Things that might be excluded from the 1st round of implementation
(although you never know!)
+ Bi-directional links between items and contacts
+ Easy navigation between linked items and contacts
+ Integration of contacts into Stamping workflow (e.g. Turn a note
into a Contact)

Hi, Mimi. Thanks for responding to my outreach. Specifically I
would like to know what is the current status of such a feature?
Does a prototype exist for testing? Who specifically is the the
product manager? My motivation for wanting to build out the
Chandler Address Book comes from my belief that it would be a great
place to start given new found interest in Python Programming, and
to help create what I believe would be a simple, self-contained
feature that will add tremendous good-will and value to an already
revolutionary product. I currently use the Mozilla Suite of PIM
tools (Sunbird & Address Book) and I have been testing out Chandler
Desktop.
