I ran Deskbar from the terminal which gave me the following error:

http://www.python.org/peps/pep-0263.html for details (converter.py, line

To fix it, I just replaced the converter.py with the newest version. The
file was for some reason was an old version I also tried to use. Now
everything works like a charm. Thanks a lot for the help!
Why it looks for the file in
~/.local/share/deskbar-applet/modules-2.20-compatible/ I don't know,
every resource I've been looking at on the Internet says that it should
be ~/.gnome2/<and so on...>. Perhaps it's the Ubuntu version that does
it this way? It works for me nonetheless... :)
That's fine. .gnome2 directory is deprecated, we changed that a while ago.
