It's a bit big, yes. :-)
I forwarded the issue to the upstream bug tracker:
http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324091
As a workaround for the moment (and a nice feature too): press alt and hold
middle mouse-button to resize a window, alt and left mouse button to move it.
