Ubuntu | gnome-desktop
Summary: Gnucash installation fails (unmet dependencies)
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gnome-desktop
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I am using Breezy Badger on an i386. Installation of gnucash fails:
[speedy2:~]$ LANG=C sudo aptitude install gnucash

E: Unable to resolve some dependencies!
Some packages had unmet dependencies. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gnucash: Depends: libgal23 (>= 0.24) but it is not installable
Depends: libgdk-pixbuf-gnome2 (>= 0.22.0-8) but it is not installable
Depends: libgtkhtml1.1-3 (>= 1.1.10) but it is not installable
There seems to be a "workaround" according to
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=97239&highlight=gnucash but doing the
installation with dpkg and enforcing everything doesn't seem to be a good
solution to me.
