Description:
According to my boot chart, I have a 52 second bootup time (which is
fine). But after bootup, the Ubuntu "splash screen" which shows what is
starting up, gets really slow around "Nautilus" (the third icon). Then
it freezes there for several minutes. Eventually if left alone it
completes its task and goes the 4th icon etc.
Not sure if gnome-desktop is the correct package name, or even if
"splash screen" is the correct thing to call it. Will insert screenshot
if possible.
